A patient fled another dental office when they started experiencing some odd organizational and procedural trends. The hygienist had one treatment philosophy and approach. The main dentist would stop by and discuss a different philosophy and treatment approach. Then the dentist would start complex procedures and let their dental assistant finish the procedures on their own. Regretfully, there are more and more dental offices that simply do not have uniform professional processes that are leading to flawed restorative work and there’s no national professional watchdog for accountability.
